One of the DePaul Library’s missions is to build collections in support of DePaul’s curriculum. Specifically, we are focused on helping DePaul achieve its Vision 2012 goal of enriching academic quality and “creating nationally recognized, rigorous programs of study.” To this end we are building collections that speak to the
DePaul’s institutional repository, Via Sapientiae, saw astonishing growth this quarter. During the three months starting in August, Via had a whopping 80,000 document downloads. DePaul University Libraries’ Special Collections & Archives recently partnered with the Center for Latino Research (CLR) in the acquisition of two collections that are instrumental to telling the Puerto Rican experience. Both collections include valuable materials and interviews that were donated to CLR and have been deposited into Special Collections
Credo Reference is a full-text online collection of reference books including dictionaries, encyclopedias, quotation books and biographies. DePaul’s subscription to Credo Reference has been recently upgraded from 100 e-reference books to approximately 500 titles in an effort to increase online access to basic reference information.
