Every other year we seek your feedback about library services and resources. Thanks to all of the faculty who took the time to respond to the survey we sent out. The chart below shows results related to the key library goal of enhancing student learning. The biggest increase from the 2009 survey was the number of faculty who told us that librarian research assistance (via email, instant messaging, or by phone) contributes to student learning. More faculty in 2011 also told us that library instruction sessions aimed at providing research skills for specific course assignments were of service in enhancing learning.<\/p>\n
Many of you use the libraries’ online resources (subject-specific databases and e-journals), and some of you told us that you use Ask-A-Librarian (e-mail and IM chat with reference librarians). This service can support course prep, advise on library procedures our goal is to save you time and make life easier.<\/p>\n
Library-related services that might be less familiar include LibX<\/a> to connect you to library resources from any webpage; Zotero<\/a> to organize and format citations; and Research and Course Guides<\/a> to highlight key resources for student research assignments.
