For professors who have not studied or taught in a 10-week quarter system, the pace can seem overwhelming. The DePaul Libraries are well aware of the complications and are here to help. Many faculty are concerned first and foremost with getting their courses established. While there is no need to worry about having every reading available on the first day, the sooner you can alert the library to readings needed for the first week or two, the less you will have to worry about.<\/p>\n<p>Course reserve readings can be online e-reserves or books and films held in the library for student use. In either case, place your requests online <a title=\"Placing online reserve requests\" href=\"https:\/\/ra.library.depaul.edu\/auth\/login.asp?prevURL=\/\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a> and let the library do the rest. If you have any questions or concern, your <a href=\"http:\/\/library.depaul.edu\/about\/staff-directory\/liaisons\/Pages\/default.aspx\">reserves contact<\/a> is here to help. For courses with a research project, you may be interested in arranging for <a title=\"http:\/\/library.depaul.edu\/services\/Pages\/Library-Instruction.aspx\">library instruction<\/a>, either in the classroom or as tips provided in the form of a <a href=\"http:\/\/library.depaul.edu\/get-help\/Pages\/Research-Guides.aspx\">course guide<\/a> online.<\/p>\n<p>Once courses are going strong in the fall, your attention may turn back to research. Your\u00a0<a title=\"Library Subject Specialist\" href=\"http:\/\/library.depaul.edu\/about\/staff-directory\/liaisons\/Pages\/default.aspx\">subject specialist<\/a> is happy to meet with you to review the current library holdings and identify areas where more books, e-resources, and media are needed.
