This resource provides convenient access to thousands of music scores online, something that has long been requested by our users, and represents standard repertoire studied in the School of Music.<\/p>\n<p>Even during the trial period, this resource came in handy when a faculty member in the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/music.depaul.edu\/Pages\/default.aspx\">School of Music\u200b<\/a>\u00a0asked one of our librarians for help locating a hard-to-find contemporary music score. The item was not held by any of the libraries in I-Share but the librarian was able to locate the score in the Classical Scores Library and email a link to the faculty member, who was thrilled to gain such easy and quick access to the score.<\/p>\n<p>The Library is also pursuing additional resources including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u200bTwo collections from CRL\u2019s World Newspaper Archive, hosted by Readex, in support of our strategic goal of\u00a0\u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/library.depaul.edu\/about\/library-news\/library-news-for-faculty\/Pages\/Bringing-You-the-World.aspx\">[infusing] international and comparative perspectives throughout the teaching, research and service missions of the university\u200b<\/a>\u201d:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<blockquote><p><b>\u200bAfrican Newspapers<\/b>:\u00a0This collection includes more than 70 newspapers published between 1800 and 1922 in Sub-Saharan Africa offer an unrivaled viewpoint into a time of drastic change. A wide range of colonial era viewpoints is chronicled in titles from Ghana, Kenya, Liberia, Mozambique, Nigeria, South Africa, Zimbabwe and other locales.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p><b>\u200bSouth Asian Newspapers<\/b>: This collection includes colonial-era titles published in India, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka from 1864-1922. Among the key publications:\u00a0<i>Amrita Bazar Patrika<\/i>\u00a0(Calcutta),\u00a0<i>Bankura Darpana<\/i>\u00a0(Bankura),\u00a0<i>Madras Mail<\/i>\u00a0(Madras),\u00a0<i>Tribune<\/i>\u00a0(Lahore) and the\u00a0<i>Ceylon Observer<\/i>\u00a0(Sri Lanka).\u00a0 Languages include English, Bengali, and Gujarati.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<ul>\n<li>\u200bAPA e-book collections: Online access to over sixty American\u00a0Psychological\u00a0Association titles published in 2014 and 2015.<\/li>\n<li>\u200bNursing education in video upgrade:\u00a0This purchase means that we will automatically receive all new content added through the end of 2019\u2011around 50 new videos per year.\u200b<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200bWe are pleased to announce that we were able to use end of year funds to add Volume I of\u00a0Classical Scores Library\u200b\u00a0to our collection of online databases.
