Celebrate DePaul’s annual Reunion Weekend and Family Weekend at the John T. Richardson Library! Located at 2350 N. Kenmore on DePaul’s Lincoln Park campus, the Library and Special Collections Department will open their doors to students, parents, alumni, and guests for a special guided tour on Saturday, October 18. Want to learn more about the resources available at the University Library? Connect with other members of the DePaul community while checking out the latest classroom technologies in the Library’s learning and collaborative work spaces, and view a new exhibit celebrating DePaul’s innovative Chicago Quarter. No registration is necessary. Tours leave every half hour between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. from the first floor of the library. Refreshments will be served!
DePaul Special Collections and Archives will also welcome alumni and families on October 18th for an open house featuring some of the most popular DePaul University and Vincentian artifacts in our collections. Explore DePaul’s history through unique materials documenting university dances, sports, student groups, and more – or learn about St. Vincent de Paul himself by examining original 17th century letters written in his own hand. You’ll also learn how to navigate our online collections, which feature yearbooks, school newspapers, and photographs documenting more than a century of student life at DePaul. Join us room 314 of the Richardson Library between 11 a.m. and 1p.m. – no registration is necessary, and Archives staff will be on hand to answer questions.
