Anna Kendrick is best known as an actress and singer, star of Pitch Perfect and Pitch Perfect 2. She also appeared in Up In The Air, a performance for which she received an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress. Late last year, Ms. Kendrick also published her memoir, Scrappy Little Nobody.
The series of essays contained in this book details her early life in Portland Maine, and how she first started her acting career in a community theater performance of Annie. Her comical, at times snarky, stories detail her early life and rise to stardom. She dishes about being an outsider at school, her first crush, and landing a role on Broadway in High Society at age 12.
