Need a computer for class, research, or studying? The DePaul University Library now has 10 MacBook Neo laptops available for students to check out! Laptops can be reserved in advance and borrowed for up to two weeks at a time. Preinstalled applications include Microsoft Office Suite, Zoom, and Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
The laptops can be reserved along with other loanable technology at both the John T. Richardson Library (8 laptops available) and the Loop Library (2 laptops available).
These MacBooks were purchased with funds from an Illinois State Library grant to support the creation of affordable course materials on the DePaul University campus. The laptops are part of the Library’s ongoing efforts to help offset the rising costs of course materials and technology for students.
Implementation of this program was made possible by the Library’s Technology Collection Committee, led by Information Technology Librarian Alec Munhall. Library Technology Support Specialist Jordan Hauber played a key role in ensuring that each laptop had software for students to use and was ready to be checked out.
