Celebrate Black History Month by reading more about visionary artists, musicians, writers, and theatrical performers of color who have shaped American culture. These selected new e-books explore Black contributions to the arts from rock and roll to experimental art to the theatre.<\/p>\n

The following publications demonstrate how black artistry has thrived in spite of racism, white conceptions of art, and a lack of critical recognition.
