I&#8217;m aiming to research the history of playgrounds and play structures around the world \ud83d\ude42 I&#8217;m not necessarily married to this topic, but I&#8217;m very interested in it and think it would make for an exciting and thought-provoking essay. Could you help me figure out which databases to use and which keywords to search for?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Librarian<\/strong>: Hi! very interesting!!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Librarian<\/strong>: Well, for history, JSTOR is great. And also you could do a combined database search in the EBSCO databases, using Historical Abstracts and American History and Life and Academic Search Complete<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Librarian<\/strong>: books are likely going to be useful as well for historical info and in depth<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Student<\/strong>: Sounds great! Thanks so much!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Student<\/strong>: Can we start with a combined search in the EBSCO databases?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Librarian<\/strong>: Yes!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Student<\/strong>: Wow! Thanks so much!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Librarian<\/strong>: Before we go to EBSCO, here\u2019s an article I found in JSTOR for you. looks promising <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.jstor.org\/stable\/ycyoungchildren.70.4.92\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">https:\/\/www.jstor.org\/stable\/ycyoungchildren.70.4.92<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Student<\/strong>: This looks great!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Student<\/strong>: It looks like it has a bunch of keywords in here that I could search a bit deeper for separately<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Librarian<\/strong>:\u00a0yes!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Student<\/strong>: And they&#8217;re all cited! So I could look into those too<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Librarian<\/strong>: Right!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Librarian<\/strong>: Here is a combined EBSCO database search, using the databases I mentioned above: <a href=\"https:\/\/tinyurl.com\/ptadcwz5\">https:\/\/tinyurl.com\/ptadcwz5<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Librarian<\/strong>: looks like &#8220;playgrounds&#8221; is a subject heading<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Librarian<\/strong>: for other ideas for keywords, look at that subjects line, especially of an article that seems relevant<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Student<\/strong>: Wow this is really great thank you so much<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Librarian<\/strong>: of course!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Student<\/strong>: It seems like there&#8217;s a lot of information, so I could specialize my research later on, but thanks so much for the help! <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I wasn&#8217;t expecting to find so many articles, so this is great!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Librarian<\/strong>: oh good! <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">cool topic<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Student<\/strong>: thank you!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Librarian<\/strong>: I miss playgrounds&#8230; \ud83d\ude41<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Student<\/strong>: Me too \ud83d\ude41<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Librarian<\/strong>: looking at books for a second as well<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Student<\/strong>: Thanks \ud83d\ude42<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Librarian<\/strong>: meh on the book front&#8230;<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">still playing with keywords<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Student<\/strong>: That&#8217;s alright.
