Happy fall quarter and welcome to the Library! The DePaul Library staff is here to help and our Research Librarians are gearing up to assist you with your research in person at our Research Help Desk or remotely via <\/span>Ask a Librarian<\/span><\/a>. There\u2019s a lot to think about this time of year and we suspect you may have questions. Here are the answers to a few that are commonly asked at the beginning of the school year:<\/span><\/p>\n

Can I come and use the library in person? Do I need a reservation?<\/b><\/p>\n

John T. Richardson and the Loop Library are open to all current students, faculty and staff for independent study and computer use, no reservation required. Alumni and visitors may also enter. You can find our hours <\/span>here<\/span><\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Do I need to wear a mask in the library?<\/b><\/p>\n

Yes. Everyone on campus\u2014regardless of vaccination status\u2014is required to wear a face mask indoors.<\/span><\/p>\n

How can I get help with my research?<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Ask a Librarian<\/a>! In addition to our Research Help Desk, we are available via chat 7 days a week (see <\/span>hours<\/span><\/a>). You can also send a text message or email.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

My professor said our reading is on course reserves. Where is that?<\/b><\/p>\n

You can search our Course Reserves System<\/a> to find readings online and in the Library for your classes. More info<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

How can I find the full text of an article?<\/b><\/p>\n

Use the \u201cFind Full Text @ DePaul\u201d link to get the full text of articles found in our databases and Google Scholar.\u00a0 If no full text is found, you can <\/span>Ask a Librarian<\/span><\/a> for help, or request a copy of the article for free through interlibrary loan. More info<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

Can I request a book for pickup?<\/b><\/p>\n

Yes. You can request books in advance and have them waiting for you to pick up. Once requested, please wait until you receive an email alert letting you know that the books are available. <\/span>More info<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n

Can I print at the library?<\/b><\/p>\n

Printing is available at the John T. Richardson and Loop Libraries. Here\u2019s a <\/span>complete list of computer labs and printing options on campus<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n
