Stop by the John T. Richardson Library’s 2nd Floor poetry display this month to browse new and classic books of poetry from our collection. Wherever I’m At<\/a>\u00a0and City of the Big Shoulders<\/a>\u00a0are two anthologies of collected work by Chicago poets and artists “with a range of style and complexity that mirrors Chicago’s varied and nuanced character.” H. Melt’s There Are Trans People Here<\/a>\u00a0celebrates and honors the trans community in Chicago and beyond through a collection of intimate poetry. And Too Much Midnight<\/a> features poems and artwork by Chicagoan Krista Franklin, who draws on themes of pop culture, Pan African histories, Black Surrealism, Afrofuturism, and racial violence. Explore poetry beyond Chicago with Faces of Love: Hafez and the Poets of Shiraz<\/a>, Poetry Unbound: 50 Poems to Open Your World<\/a>, and I Wait for the Moon: 100 Haiku of Momoko Kuroda<\/a>.<\/p>\n
