Richardson\u00a0Library. \u00a0We have purchased 5 new consoles that can be checked out by any current DePaul student, staff, or faculty member and video games are now available from the John T. Richardson Library. \u00a0There is no cost to checkout either the consoles, or video games, and consoles can now be checked out for two weeks at a time. \u00a0In 2013 we began loaning consoles from the Loop Library to further support students in the College of Computing and Digital Media computer game development programs but also to offer access to video games and consoles to students from all programs. \u00a0The game consoles were popular with students and we wanted to expand this program to offer consoles in our Lincoln Park location. \u00a0By offering game consoles, students are able to experiment and try a platform and game without having to purchase an entire system for this purpose. The expansion of this program was recently featured in the <a href=\"http:\/\/depauliaonline.com\/news\/2015\/09\/27\/depaul-library-video-game-leasing\/\">DePaulia<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-203 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/news.library.depaul.press\/full-text\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2015\/09\/video_games_2-300x300.png?resize=300%2C300\" alt=\"Video Games\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/news.library.depaul.press\/full-text\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2015\/09\/video_games_2.png?resize=300%2C300&amp;ssl=1 300w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/news.library.depaul.press\/full-text\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2015\/09\/video_games_2.png?resize=150%2C150&amp;ssl=1 150w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/news.library.depaul.press\/full-text\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2015\/09\/video_games_2.png?w=500&amp;ssl=1 500w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>Both the game consoles and video games are held behind the Access Services Desk in the John T.
