Like many university libraries, DePaul doesn’t have a separate fiction section, and you’re not likely to find blockbusters like the lastest in the Twilight<\/em> series or The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo<\/em>. But you will find novels by literary and award-winning authors such as A. S. Byatt<\/a>, Paul Theroux<\/a>, Sherman Alexie<\/a>,\u00a0Don DeLillo<\/a>, Jane Smiley<\/a>, Ha Jin<\/a>, E. L. Doctorow<\/a>, and Margaret Atwood<\/a>. You’ll also find a wide selection of contemporary international fiction, such as The Skating Rink<\/em><\/a> by Roberto Bolao, The Class<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>by Francois Begaudeau, The Collector of Worlds<\/em><\/a> by Iliya Troyanov, The Mirage<\/em><\/a> by Naguib Mahfouz, and\u00a0Rhyming Life & Death<\/em><\/a> by Amos Oz.<\/p>\n Non-fiction readers also have plenty to choose from in categories from history to culture to science to memoirs to the arts. A few recent favorites are Just Kids<\/em><\/a> by Patti Smith; Hellhound on His Trail:<\/em><\/a> The Stalking of Martin Luther King, Jr. and the International Hunt for His Assassin<\/em> by Hampton Sides; The Pluto Files:<\/em><\/a> The Rise and Fall of Americas Favorite Planet<\/em> by Neil deGrasse Tyson; Bright-sided:<\/em><\/a> How the Relentless Promotion of Positive Thinking has Undermined America<\/em> by Barbara Ehrenreich; and Cowboys Full:<\/em><\/a> The Story of Poker <\/em>by James McManus.<\/p>\n And if DePaul doesn’t have the books on your summer reading list, don’t forget to check the I-share catal<\/a>o<\/a>g<\/a> to place a request for another library to send the book to DePaul for pickup.
