The images depict works of art as well as temples, monasteries and cave complexes from India, China, Japan and Southeast Asian countries from the Second Century B.C.E. to the Nineteenth Century.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, content has been added in the following areas:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Architecture:<\/strong> Architectural Dictionary &#8211; an illustrated list of architectural terms.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Photography:<\/strong> Works by Mike Disfarmer and Sophie Ristelhueber.<\/p>\n<p><strong>American Art:<\/strong> Paintings by The Eight (commonly referred to as the Ashcan School)<\/p>\n<p><strong>European Art:<\/strong> Paintings by Louis Leopold Boilly, Paul Klee and Edvard Munch.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Medieval\/Renaissance Art:<\/strong> Byzantine art and architecture<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ancient Art:<\/strong> Punic Art from Tunisia<\/p>\n<p>For more information about the Image Collection, or for assistance in locating images, see our <a href=\"http:\/\/libguides.depaul.edu\/digitalimages\" target=\"_blank\">Digital Images guide<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Image: Buddha Amitabha. c. 750-850 C.E.
