He was understandably overwhelmed with an initial search that retrieved over 23,000 articles.\u00a0Realizing that the key words social order and education were overly broad, the librarian worked with the researcher to find some ways to narrow the search.\u00a0They tried again, focusing on the issues of race and class exclusion in education through history, using the terms: racial or race, discrimination or segregation, history, and education.
