The theme for the year is &#8220;Envisioning a New Beginning,&#8221; with a focus in the Fall specifically on the concept of <a href=\"http:\/\/offices.depaul.edu\/student-affairs\/diversity-and-culture\/cultural-programming\/Documents\/TheCenterProgrammingCalendar.pdf\">Identity<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>On Monday, \u00a0November 1st, there will be two events with<a href=\"http:\/\/www.chriscrass.org\/about.html\"> Chris Crass<\/a>, a longtime community organizer for social justice causes:<\/p>\n<p>Towards Collective Liberation: Anti-Racist Organizing, Feminist Praxis and Movement Building Strategy<em> 11:20 a.m. to 12:50 p.m.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Courage Against Racism: Organizing in White Communities for Racial Justice in the Times of Black Lives Matter<em> 6 to 7:30 p.m.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>These events will both take place in the Lincoln Park Student Center, Room 120A\/B.<\/p>\n<p>Anyone\u00a0interested in these events may wish to check out Chris Crass&#8217;s writing. The library owns a copy of one of his recent books, <a href=\"http:\/\/depaul.worldcat.org\/oclc\/793575820\">Towards collective liberation: anti-racist organizing, feminist praxis, and movement building strategy,<\/a> and also two books containing essays by him: <a href=\"http:\/\/depaul.worldcat.org\/oclc\/51060187\">Globalize liberation : how to uproot the system and build a better world<\/a> with his essay, &#8220;Civil rights: Looking to the light of freedom: Lessons from the Civil Rights Movement and thoughts on anarchist organizing,&#8221; and\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/depaul.worldcat.org\/oclc\/124031877\">Men speak out : views on gender, sex and power<\/a> with his essay, &#8220;How can I be sexist?
