(credit: DePaul University\/Jamie Moncrief)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>On November 16th, the DePaul University Library hosted the inaugural open house for <a href=\"http:\/\/las.depaul.edu\/centers-and-institutes\/studio-chi\/Pages\/default.aspx\" target=\"_blank\">Studio Chi<\/a>, a new center for faculty development at DePaul that &#8220;will foster and support research at the interface between humanities and computing.&#8221; Building on the teaching, learning, and research collaborations that have been explored in the\u00a0John T. Richardson Library <a href=\"http:\/\/library.depaul.edu\/services\/Pages\/Scholars-Lab.aspx\" target=\"_blank\">Scholar&#8217;s Lab<\/a>, our partnership with Studio Chi will\u00a0 bring faculty and students from across DePaul&#8217;s schools and colleges into the library to take advantage of the resources, technology, and expertise found in our growing <a href=\"http:\/\/library.depaul.edu\/services\/digital-services\/Pages\/default.aspx\" target=\"_blank\">digital scholarship and services program<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Digital Scholarship Librarian <a href=\"http:\/\/library.depaul.edu\/about\/contact-us\/staff-directory\/Pages\/ana-lucic.aspx\" target=\"_blank\">Ana Lucic<\/a> is currently a partner in the &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/news.library.depaul.press\/full-text\/2016\/03\/24\/reading-chicago-reading-project-funded-by-the-national-endowment-for-the-humanities\/\" target=\"_blank\">Reading Chicago Reading<\/a>&#8221; project supported by the National Endowment for the Humanities.<\/p>\n<p>Studio Chi will launch its inaugural speaker series, &#8220;Foundations of the Digital, Foundations in the Humanities: Race, Gender, Class,&#8221; in Spring 2017, and will be a partner in the next phase of the John T.
