They have been sharing their perspective as first-year students and new users of University Library services in a series of projects this year. Read on to find out more about the event they have planned for sharing their love of the library! \u00a0 \u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

In recognition of National Library Week<\/a>, the Library EDGE Team invites you to show your appreciation for the DePaul University Library. We will be celebrating in the Lincoln Park Student Center on Thursday April 13 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m., where you can stop by our table for free cookies and buttons while you share your favorite books and the reasons you love the DePaul University Library.<\/p>\n

National Library Week, sponsored by The American Library Association, is April 9-15. \u00a0It was originally created in 1958 to motivate people to read and in turn, use their libraries. Today, National Library Week celebrates \u201cthe contributions of our nation’s libraries and librarians and to promote library use and support.\u201d The DePaul theme for our National Library Week 2017 celebration is \u201cLibrary Love,\u201d encouraging the DePaul University community to show its love for books and the library.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>We will be setting up a table with \u00a0interactive displays\u00a0where you can share your favorite reads and tell us a little about why you love and value the DePaul University Library. \u00a0After posting on the boards,\u00a0help yourself to a free button and a bag of cookies.<\/p>\n

Having a good book can be a nice distraction from stress and classes, and our buttons will be in limited supply, so stop by and learn about National Library Week!<\/p>\n
