Here’s one way we helped a researcher remain engaged through our “Ask a Librarian” instant message chat service.

Question: Is there a way I can conveniently read major daily newspapers like The Washington Post, New York Times or Wall Street Journal online?

Answer: DePaul students, faculty and staff have online access to many newspapers, both U.S. and international, through the library’s online databases. To check if we have a particular newspaper available online, our research librarian suggested using the Find Journals by Title option (under the Find menu on our home page). Searching on the newspaper’s title will point you to the right database. You can use this option to search for your favorite journals and magazines as well!

Two databases, Lexis/Nexis Academic and Access World News, allow you to search many newspapers at once. For more information, including links to Chicago newspapers, see our research guide to newspapers and news stories.

The University also provides a digital subscription to the Financial Times.
