\"MarchingThis year marks the 50th anniversary of the historic Selma to Montgomery marches that served as a catalyst for the passage of the Voting Rights Act of 1965. These marches were an important part of the Civil Rights Movement and the photographs and video footage from these events remain as powerful and stunning as they were 50 years ago. Marching to the Freedom Dream<\/a><\/em> is a collection of photos taken by Dan Budnik that documents three of the most important marches of the Civil Rights Movement. Starting in 2002, Linklater shot the film in pieces over the course of 12 years, using the same cast and crafting the story along the way in order to incorporate the life experiences of the actors. The result is a stunning and realistic exploration of adolescence, relationships, emotional growth, and human aging. The new collectionBoyhood: Twelve Years on Film<\/a><\/em>,\u00a0 from photographer Matt Lankes, serves as an excellent companion piece to the film Boyhood<\/em>.
