The Library will celebrate DePaul\u2019s Family Weekend<\/a> and Alumni Weekend<\/a> with several open houses on Friday, October 12th<\/sup> from 2:00-5:00pm<\/strong>. Learn about new services while showing your family and friends how you spend your time in the library–all are welcome!<\/p>\n

DePaul University Special Collections and Archives:<\/a>\"1968<\/a> <\/strong>Hosting a Flashback to 1968<\/a>, focusing on student movements on DePaul\u2019s campus, protests in the Lincoln Park neighborhood, and the counterculture of the 1960s. Visitors can also explore unique and noteworthy treasures, including rare antiquarian books, DePaul yearbooks and memorabilia, and handwritten letters of St. Vincent. This event is open to public as part of Chicago Open Archives 2018<\/a>. Come and celebrate your local archives!<\/p>\n

Studio \u03c7 (CHI: Computing\/Humanities Interface): <\/strong><\/a>This center launched last year to foster collaborative research and creative work that joins humanities questions with cutting-edge computing technologies. Roshanna Sylvester<\/a>, the Director of Studio \u03c7 will be on hand to discuss recent projects and new possibilities.<\/p>\n

The Maker Hub:<\/strong><\/a> On the freshly revitalized second floor, explore the possibilities of our new Maker Hub. Check out demonstrations of vinyl cutting and 3D printing. All experience levels welcome.<\/p>\n
