DePaul Special Collections and Archives<\/a> (SPCA) will be hosting an open house on October 31st as part of the world-wide celebration of the 200th<\/sup> anniversary of Frankenstein <\/em>known as Frankenreads<\/a>. Visitors can compare and interact with different editions of Frankenstein <\/em>including two illustrated editions and other materials directly related to the novel. In honor of Halloween, we will also have on display some of our spookiest holdings like historical accounts of ghosts and witches, as well as other gothic novels from our collections. \u00a0Attendees can drop in to room 314 of the John T. Richardson Library anytime between 11:30am and 2:00pm to view our eerie displays. \u00a0Be sure to check out the other programming throughout Frankenweek<\/a>, (DePaul\u2019s Frankenreads event) happening around campus, including a readathon of the entire novel, horror makeup tutorials, and building life-size monsters in the Maker Hub<\/a>! Frankenweek at DePaul is a collaboration with the Studio CHI<\/a>, Humanities Center<\/a>, English Department<\/a>, Media and Cinema Studies Program<\/a>, CDM Idea Realization Lab<\/a>, the Cosplay Club, and the DePaul University Library.<\/p>\n
