The second Research Meet & Greet event this autumn quarter will take place on November 5, 3:30-5:30 pm at the John T. Richardson Library, Idea Lab 2, Room 207<\/strong>. This series of events\u00a0is conceived as an opportunity for DePaul University faculty and staff to come together and share and learn about research and creative projects going on across the University.<\/p>\n

The November 5 event will feature a presentation by Dr. Kyle A. Grice<\/a> from the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry entitled “Trying to Solve Big Problems Caused by Small Molecules – CO2 Reduction Research with DePaul Students.” During the lightning talk session, the attendees will have an opportunity to hear about the projects conducted by two DePaul faculty members:<\/p>\n

Dr. Rachel L. S. Harper<\/a>\u00a0(College of Education) will be reporting on the recent projects as well as her current plans with her artis\"\"<\/a>t\u2019s research project, \u201cSeen + Heard,\u201d which advocates for the cultural works and lives of people ages 0-12.<\/p>\n

Dr. Jessica Jerome<\/a>\u00a0(College of Science and Health) will share information about her research projects that focuses on Chicago\u2019s free medical clinics that were started by community groups in the late 1960s and shut down by the City of Chicago a few years later. The research uses archival documents to trace the history of the clinics, and their commitment to a right to health.<\/p>\n
