The Library is one of many organizations and departments across campus participating in DePaul\u2019s second annual Gnome Hunt. You can find gnomes in the Loop Library and the John T. Richardson Library this week. Return them to the Office of Student Involvement to claim a prize. In the meantime, we thought you might want to get to gnome<\/em> them a little better.<\/p>\n

Meet Johnny T.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

\"Johnny<\/a>In addition to being a gnome, Johnny T. is a Blue Demon superfan and a scholar. We hear he\u2019s looking for a book on how to perfect his jump shot, so he\u2019ll likely stop in to the John T. Richardson Library to find the perfect book soon!
\nAnd because he has a research paper coming up (also about basketball) you may just see him at the Research Help Desk or on the Library\u2019s \u201cAsk a Librarian\u201d instant messaging service asking for help finding articles about the biomechanics of a jumpshot in his favorite database, Academic Search Complete.<\/p>\n

Meet Dewey<\/strong><\/h4>\n

\"Dewey<\/a>Dewey loves hotdogs, fashion and long walks on the beach. He\u2019s also passionate about reading; you\u2019ll often find him in the Loop Library book stacks exploring our collection. In fact, he\u2019s so studious that long hours in the library frequently drain his laptop and phone batteries. If you enter the Library at the right time, you might spy him borrowing laptop and phone chargers at the front desk.<\/p>\n
