Richardson Library for a DePaul faculty panel discussion of the book <a href=\"https:\/\/depaul.on.worldcat.org\/oclc\/853618709\">The Sixth Extinction<\/a> by Elizabeth Kolbert. This year\u2019s One Book, One Chicago selection traces the history and present reality of mass extinctions on Earth. Asteroids, volcanoes, sea-level change: all these have caused the deaths of millions of species. Now humanity has become both a new cause and a potential victim.<\/p>\n<p>Professors <a href=\"https:\/\/las.depaul.edu\/academics\/english\/faculty\/Pages\/ted-anton.aspx\">Ted Anton<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/communication.depaul.edu\/faculty-and-staff\/faculty\/Pages\/willard.aspx\">Barbara Willard<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/communication.depaul.edu\/faculty-and-staff\/faculty\/Pages\/hopke.aspx\">Jill Hopke<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/business.depaul.edu\/faculty\/faculty-a-z\/Pages\/ali-fatemi.aspx\">Ali Fatemi<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/csh.depaul.edu\/faculty-staff\/faculty-a-z\/Pages\/environmental-science\/mark-potosnak.aspx\">Mark Potosnak<\/a> will discuss possible solutions to human-caused climate change as part of DePaul University\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/las.depaul.edu\/academics\/english\/about\/Pages\/one-book-one-chicago.aspx\">longstanding partnership<\/a> with the Chicago Public Library\u2019s One Book, One Chicago program.<\/p>\n<p><strong>WHEN:<\/strong> October 30, 2019 from 6:00pm-7:30pm<br \/>\n<strong>WHERE:<\/strong> John T.
