Malala has had an incredible life and her work and story are powerful. To find out why Malala is deserving of so many accolades, check out her biography, I am Malala : The Girl who Stood up for Education and was Shot by the Taliban. Available at the John T. If that is the case, I suggest the late Joan Rivers’ recently released memoir, Diary of a Mad Diva. Written in the typical brazen and unapologetic “Joan Rivers way,” Rivers’ latest memoir (she also penned I Hate Everyone…Starting With Me in 2013, Bouncing Back in 2010, Enter Talking in 1986, among others) provides colorful critiques of pop culture, celebrities, current events, and of course, the Rivers family. It’s a simple, funny, and quick read that fans of Joan Rivers will certainly enjoy. Diary of a Mad Diva is available in the Haber Lounge at the John T. Do you enjoy games? Than perhaps you will be interested in The Books of Games: Strategy, Tactics, & History. Not only does The Book of Games contain the complete rules, playing tips, and helpful examples of 65 games, but with winter quickly approaching, this could very well be the perfect cure for the bout of cabin fever that will inevitably creep up mid-January. This book also includes colorful illustrations of old and new game boards, and interesting facts about the games’ histories, so it’s great to peruse even if you don’t play the games.
