The First Rainbow Coalition<\/em>, a new documentary by filmmaker Ray Santisteban, focuses on the 1969 movement in Chicago where \u201cactivists from the Black Panthers, Young Lords, and Young Patriots united African Americans, Latinos, and poor whites to confront police brutality and unfair housing practices in one of America\u2019s most segregated cities.\u201d Premiering last October at the Chicago International Film Festival, The First Rainbow Coalition <\/em>aired last Monday on PBS and is currently available for streaming<\/a> through February 26: https:\/\/to.pbs.org\/2Oqpgzo<\/a>.<\/p>\n
