The DePaul University Library is pleased to share newly available resources for growing academic programs on campus. Alongside these additions are some updated resources and changes made to our collection.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

New Resources<\/span><\/h2>\n

Standards Connect<\/span><\/a> from the American \"Women<\/a>National Standards Institute (ANSI) provides information on national, regional, international standards, and conformity assessment issues. Users can create an account <\/span>here<\/span><\/a> to access ANSI Standards Connect from off-campus.<\/span><\/p>\n

Women and Social Movements, International – 1840 to Present<\/span><\/a> is a landmark collection of primary materials written by women activists. Through texts like personal letters, diaries, and conference proceedings, this collection allows patrons to see how women\u2019s social movements defined many events and attitudes that shape modern life.<\/span><\/p>\n

Engineering Village<\/span><\/a> gives patrons access to several major engineering literature databases that include <\/span>scholarly journals, trade publications, patents, government reports, reference books, conference proceedings, and more. All content and features are designed for engineers to <\/span>efficiently generate research, assess the impact and relevance of critical information, and tackle the world\u2019s engineering challenges.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Knovel<\/span><\/a> is a database of engineering data and technical references to help solve engineering problems, ensure safety compliance, and maintain efficient operations. Topics covered include <\/span>chemistry and chemical engineering, plastics and rubbers, semiconductors, advanced materials, and safety, health and hygiene.<\/span><\/p>\n

Updated Resources<\/span><\/h2>\n

The library frequently monitors online database usage statistics for a variety of reasons, but arguably the most important reason is to ensure everyone has access to the resources they need and no one is turned away due to user limits. Often the library will act proactively to increase concurrent user limits to prevent these issues from occurring. With this in mind, the library has increased the <\/span>Grove Art Online<\/span><\/a> user limit from five concurrent users to eleven. Likewise, <\/span>Grove Music Online<\/span><\/a> user limit has been increased from five concurrent users to eight.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Replaced Resources<\/span><\/h2>\n

Safari Books Online has been removed from the <\/span>A-Z Databases & Resources<\/span><\/a> list to make way for the new version of this resource, <\/span>O\u2019Reilly for Higher Education<\/span><\/a>. The official move from Safari to O\u2019Reilly took place on July 31, and now patrons can access O\u2019Reilly\u2019s 35,000+ technical books, videos, interactive tutorials, case studies, learning paths, audio books, and more.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
