ATTENTION WRITERS — What if you had a month to write whatever you wanted?

SNL One Million WordsOne. Million. Words.

That’s the DePaul University School For New Learning‘s target for the 3rd annual Month of Writing taking place throughout the month of October. This includes a kickoff panel discussion titled “The Craft of Composing: A Panel of Authors Discuss the Writing Process,” which takes place Thursday October 2 from 7:00pm-8:30pm in the DePaul Club on the 11th floor of the DePaul Center at 1 E. Jackson in the Loop.

What’s the Month of Writing?

The School for New Learning (SNL) has designated October as the Month of Writing (MOW). The entire DePaul community—School for New Learning students, faculty, staff, and alumni, as well as students, faculty, staff, and alumni from other DePaul colleges—is invited to participate. Writers from outside the university are also invited to join. The only requirement for participation is the desire to take up the challenge and submit original content!

This is the third year the School for New Learning has challenged folks to write their hearts out during the month of October. The premiere event of the Month is the Challenge, an attempt to get as many of our friends as possible to share their words with us. Together, we can meet our goal to write one million words!
