Land a job or internship! Special events in the Learning Commons

As spring quarter winds down, it’s time to focus on securing summer internships and jobs. The Learning Commons, the John T. Richardson Library’s center for peer tutoring, is pleased to host a couple of special events to assist you in your search for jobs and internships:

Professional Development Night
Tuesday May 5th
5:00pm – 7:00pm

The Office of Multicultural Student Success and the Career Center are sponsoring this workshop-style event, which will feature 25-minute sessions led by peer career advisors and peer research tutors.  Stop by to perfect your resume, establish a LinkedIn account, or research prospective employers.

Internship Assistance
Tuesday May 5th and Wednesday May 13th
3:00pm – 5:00pm

Do you want to find an internship but are unsure how to start? Been applying to internships but had minimal success? Interested in earning academic credit for your internship to fulfill the Experiential Learning requirement? Chat with Megan Gentille, Assistant Director of the University Internship Program, and get your questions answered. Megan can assist in your internship search, from reviewing your resume, discussing internship search strategies, helping prepare for an interview and explaining the internship credit process.

Events are open to all students.  For more information about the Learning Common’s peer tutoring and resume and writing help, see go.depaul.edu/learningcommons.
