Special Collections and Archives at the SSDP Midwest Regional Conference

DePaul Special Collections and Archives recently participated in the 2016 Students for Sensible Drug Policy Midwest Regional Conference.  On Saturday, October 22, Archives Assistant, Derek Potts, led breakout sessions in The John T. Richardson Library with materials from the Anthony Rayson zine collection.  Eighteen students at the conference perused zines and artwork created by prison inmates.  The selected materials offered attendees the opportunity to see many different prisoners’ point-of-view regarding topics such as the U.S. drug policy, the prison industrial complex, and addiction.  DePaul students were joined by peers from other schools, including Cornell College, Kent State, and Northwestern.
