Celebrating National Student Employment Week

This year, National Student Employment Week coincided with National Library Week from April 9-13. The DePaul University Library employs 50 student workers across all departments where they process new items, reshelve books, create digital content, and connect library users to the information they need. To acknowledge our students’ contributions to the efficient operation of both the John T. Richardson and Loop Libraries, library staff hosted a pot-luck luncheon in their honor on Thursday, April 12. Thank you to our student workers for all you do!

“The Library could not run without our dedicated and responsible student workers. They provide a fresh perspective on problems and solutions for our patrons.” K. Morelock, Data Services Librarian.

“I like working for the DePaul Library because it has not only taught me a lot, but has also provided me a place on campus where I can feel a sense of pride, community, and responsibility that goes beyond my role as a student.” Mike S., graduating senior
