Nora Epstein, a part-time librarian in the DePaul’s Special Collections and Archives, was recently profiled in Fine Books & Collections as part of its “Bright Young Librarians” series. In her profile, Epstein describes her introduction to special collections librarianship at a number of Chicago institutions, including Northwestern University and the Newberry Library, as well as her education in librarianship and book history at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and the University of St Andrews (U.K.). She describes her work at DePaul within the context of our special collections instruction program, which was also profiled in a recent article in our faculty newsletter.

Fine Books & Collections is a quarterly magazine offering “insight into the world of collectible books, maps, and other artifacts of paper.” Its ongoing profiles of “Bright Young Librarians” and “Bright Young Booksellers” introduce its readers to the next generation of rare book librarians, antiquarian booksellers, and collectors.
