Book Drops are Now Open!

We’re excited to announce the book drops are now open for returns! Library staff have been allowed to enter the building and have checked in a backlog of books returned prior to their closure. Anyone who wishes to return items, may now do so.

The Lincoln Park John T. Richardson Library 24-hour book drop is open for returns and is located outside the west quad-side library entrance to Kelly Hall, behind the statue.

The downtown Loop Library book drop is open for returns 8am-5pm Monday through Friday. It is located to the right of the library entrance on the 10th Floor. Patrons will have to use the 333 S. State Street entrance, show a DePaul ID, and sign in to access the DePaul Center.

Please read on for additional details for returning books and other material:

Equipment returns are not accepted via the book drop. Please contact us at libnotice@depaul.edu to (1) setup an appointment for curbside equipment drop off or (2) if you are unable to return equipment using curbside drop off, we ask that you hang on to it until the library re-opens.

Items may not be checked in immediately, but no overdue fines will be charged for any materials due back during the Library closure.

We look forward to rolling out more services in the upcoming weeks. For complete updates on library services this summer and fall, visit COVID-19 and Library Services.
