Brain Fuel Week Spring 2021

Congratulations class of 2021! 🥳🎉 Your last year at DePaul was full of challenges, and everyone at the DePaul University Library is proud of all that you’ve accomplished.

As DePaul University adapts to new state and local COVID-19 policies, please keep up to date with how the library is updating our precautions and safety measures. Even though we are trying to create a new normal under these circumstances, we still like to keep some things the same. Together, the university will celebrate Brain Fuel Week with games, puzzles, coloring, and other activities throughout the week. This is an important tradition leading up to finals for good reason! Study breaks help us unwind, de-stress, and re-focus.

New to Brain Fuel this quarter are the DePaul University Library Instagram and Twitter feeds embedded into the Library Guide. This will allow you to see what we’re posting on social media as we post it!

Need a break? Here are a few suggestions!

Work on a puzzle: Puzzles are a staple of our in-person Brain Fuel Week activities. Why not spend a few minutes with a digital jigsaw puzzle or use a favorite photo to create your own and share it with your friends? If puzzles aren’t your thing, check out some suggestions for online games that you can play with friends in real-time.

Watch a movie: As a DePaul student, you have access to thousands of streaming videos through the library. Hundreds of feature films, recorded theatrical performances, and so many fantastic documentaries.

Read a (non-academic) book: We know you’ve spent a lot of time this quarter with the library’s extensive academic databases and e-books. Our e-book collections include a lot of non-academic e-books: cookbooks, poetry, fiction, and more.

For more recommendations, check out the Brain Fuel Library Guide at https://libguides.depaul.edu/brainfuel. (These resources are available throughout the year, so bookmark this page for whenever you need a study break.)

We hope you all have a good summer! Stay healthy, and good luck with your finals!
